Friday, August 28, 2009
Friday, August 28th: Maybe you want to watch him; maybe you want to avoid him like H1N1. But here's the latest from the publicist of Blago-the-Ex regarding his post-publication media blitz:
(PRNewsChannel) / Chicago, Ill. / The nation's top rated
morning program, NBC's TODAY, has landed the first interview with former Illinois
Gov. Rod Blagojevich following the release of his new book on
September 8, according Blagojevich's publicist.
ABC's THE VIEW has secured the first joint interview of
Blagojevich with his wife, Patti. The interview with TODAY is scheduled for
Tuesday, Sept. 8, the release date of Blagojevich's memoir, THE
GOVERNOR, available on Amazon.com. THE VIEW will talk with the former Gov. and Mrs.
Blagojevich on Wednesday. Other scheduled media interviews will be released late
next week.
"Governor Blagojevich is one of the most talked about public
figures," says Glenn Selig, publicist for both the former governor and his wife
and founder of the PR firm, The Publicity Agency. "In his book, THE
GOVERNOR, he gives a complete, honest and first-hand account of what's happened
and it's truly eye-opening."
Blagojevich was removed from office after being
accused of trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack
Obama. Blagojevich has flatly denied any wrongdoing.
