Sonic Art

"Turn that noise...up!" You're at Chicago's Outer Ear Festival of Sound.

The festival, hosted every year by Experimental Sound Studio, a nonprofit supporting new approaches to the sonic arts, brings together an international roster of composers, musicians and artists that are pushing the boundaries of music.

Whether exploring aural limits through on-stage compositions or via multimedia installations, this vanguard challenges the communicative potential of sound.
