About District 7
The 7th Congressional District is entirely within Cook County. It is bordered on the east by Lake Michigan and extends to the western border of Cook County. It covers downtown Chicago as well as the suburbs of Oak Park, Maywood and Westchester. This district was represented by Abraham Lincoln from 1847-1849.
