WTTW National Productions/Chicago taps Emmy-winning broadcast journalist Paula Zahn to host new documentary

MassMutual-sponsored Retirement Revolution® to premiere March 31 on PBS

Chicago, IL – WTTW National Productions, a division of Window to the World Communications, Inc., the award-winning public broadcasting affiliate in Chicago, has secured nationally-known television news anchor Paula Zahn to host its new and timely series on retirement. Retirement Revolution®, a two-part documentary created exclusively for PBS and sponsored by Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), will premiere Monday evening, March 31 at 10:00 PM/ET (check local listings).

Retirement Revolution® and host Zahn will lead audiences across the U.S. on an exploration of the financial challenges and solutions facing America's largest generation, explaining the origins of the retirement concept and how it has evolved over the past several decades. The documentary offers practical considerations that can help prepare for a retirement on one's own terms. Revealing anecdotes from “real people” will be coupled with expert perspectives to educate and empower viewers to take control of their financial futures.

Respected journalist Paula Zahn marks her return to national television as host of this innovative series. "The importance of this issue – and the opportunity to motivate a large audience to take control of their retirement planning – made this program a perfect fit for me," says Zahn. "Retirement concerns impact everyone's life, regardless of age. I'm delighted to be a part of this significant project, and to partner with WTTW and MassMutual to bring this important issue to light for viewers across the U.S"

Paula Zahn is well-known for her work anchoring CNN's weeknight prime-time evening news program Paula Zahn Now, and her previous role hosting the network's flagship morning news program American Morning with Paula Zahn, which she helped launch in fall 2001. Zahn's professional career includes high-profile roles with the Fox News Channel and a decade of work at CBS News, where she co-hosted the CBS This Morning and anchored the CBS Evening News Saturday Edition. She began her national television news career with ABC in 1987 after working for several local stations. Zahn has received numerous honors and awards for her work, including eight Emmys.

In Retirement Revolution®, Zahn is joined by a host of financial and planning experts, representing a variety of opinions and types of advice. They include, to name a few: Mellody Hobson/President of Ariel Capital Management; Peter Peterson/Senior Chairman of Blackstone Group; Bill Novelli/CEO of AARP; Michael J. Astrue/Commissioner of Social Security; David Laibson/Professor of Economics at Harvard University; and syndicated financial columnist Terry Savage.

Retirement Revolution® will have a companion Web site, providing information and resources for users to further examine their financial needs and establish retirement goals. Using segments from the series and advice from many of the experts participating in the production, the site expands upon the program's content.
