Chicago, IL January 6 - To celebrate the 100th episode of WTTW's hugely popular local restaurant review series Check, Please! we will air a special never-before-broadcast episode, taped in August 2001 prior to the series premiere. One of its three "regular Chicagoan" reviewers is then State Senator and now President-Elect Barack Obama, giving his informed opinions on three local restaurants - Le Bouchon, Zia's Trattoria and his own choice, Dixie Kitchen & Bait Shop in Hyde Park.
It's a unique and revealing look at our future President who discusses his food preferences, his restaurant likes and dislikes, and the importance of supporting neighborhood businesses (among other topics)...before he became a household name to the rest of the world.
Don't miss this special 100th episode of WTTW's popular Check, Please!
