Chief Development Officer


Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree a plus. CFRE also a plus.

The Director of Development, Imagining More will be a development professional with at least 10 years of experience in development, focusing on Major Giving. Extensive experience in working with donors and stewarding their interests in the organization is required. Experience gathering, compiling and presenting reports ranging from stewardship, to research, is also desired. Marketing and Design experience a plus.

The ideal candidate would have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent people skills. Candidate must be organized, detail oriented and be able to multi-task. A positive, goal, and team-oriented attitude is essential. Proficiency with basic software programs is required, as is a readiness to learn additional software programs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, strategic, and creative. 

Raise revenue and build relationships for WWCI with individual prospects and donors that result in financial support for the WTTW and WFMT Imagining More Campaign, special projects and annual fund.


  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift and campaign donors to WFMT and WTTW at the five to seven figure gift levels.
  • Manage a portfolio of 175-200 prospects and donors.
  • Conduct 5-10 donor visits weekly and 15-20 meaningful points of connections, including handwritten notes, tune-in emails, phone calls, etc.
  • Represent the organization among donors and throughout the community and internally cross departmentally.
  • Advise and set up donor meetings for executive staff with funding recommendations, briefing materials, etc.
  • Ensure the benefit fulfillment of donors, including appropriate and accurate recognition and personalized, meaningful stewardship.
  • Manage intimate Imagining More campaign donor events and implement follow up plans.
  • Make informed, researched recommendations, matching prospects with special projects and identifying key solicitor.
  • Oversee Imagining More campaign research.
  • Develop strong working knowledge and sophisticated usage of database, Team Approach.
  • Balance external donor visits with administrative duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
