REPORTS TO:

PROCESS:
Development

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Additional education a plus.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Must have 1-3 years of experience working in development. Must have experience in administrative duties, customer service and communicating with donors and/or clients. Experience with event planning or other type of project management. Database experience is necessary.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidate must have an understanding of maintaining donor and/or client relationships. Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, attentive to detail, committed to accuracy and an enthusiastic team player. Proficiency with basic software programs including Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs. Ability to drive.

JOB PURPOSE:
Support fundraising for WTTW|WFMT through assisting with development activities, particularly the WWCI gala, WTTW|WFMT special projects and annual trustee giving, along with stewardship activities, such as donor recognition and benefit fulfillment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support fundraising efforts for annual gala through prospect research, development of sponsor benefits, solicitations on behalf of Event Chair, preparation of acknowledgments and accurate tracking of revenue.
  • Assist with coordination of vendors for annual gala.
  • Prepare for the management of gala event day activities.
  • Develop collateral materials for WTTW and WFMT special projects including splash sheets, appeal letters, and acknowledgment templates for use by the development team.
  • Prepare solicitations, acknowledgments, and benefits for special projects.
  • Conduct research to generate prospects for special projects.
  • Participate in the careful review of sponsor recognition for television presentations and printed materials.
  • Assist with the personalized, meaningful cultivation and stewardship of prospects, major donors, and trustees.
  • Participate in review of donor lists for event invitations and solicitations for special project and gala, pairing the review with excellent recall.
  • Assist in the tracking and analysis of vital data as it relates to our trustees, donors, and special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
