Running from 24th Boulevard into Douglas Park is Marshall Boulevard. Moving north along the boulevard the urban nature of the neighborhood begins to give way to the tranquil atmosphere of Douglas Park. The park is one of the most spectacular on the west side of the city. It was laid out in 1870 by architect William Le Baron Jenney, sometimes referred to as the Father of the Skyscraper.
