Nestled between Central Park Square and Franklin Square lies Franklin Boulevard. At just over a half-mile long, Franklin and connecting Sacramento Boulevard provide a route from Garfield Park to Humboldt Park.

Located at 3223 West Franklin Boulevard is George Westinghouse College Prep. Known for academic and athletic excellence, Westinghouse produced such basketball greats as Eddie Johnson and Mark Aguirre. The school closed down in 2007, but after a $100 million renovation, the school reopened on Franklin Boulevard in 2009.

Also located on Franklin Boulevard is Chicago’s Interfaith House. The mission of Interfaith House is to help ill and injured homeless adults rebuild their lives. Since opening in 1994, Interfaith House has served more than 6,000 of Chicago’s homeless men and women. Interfaith House is the first organization of its kind in Illinois.
