Tall Prairie Tales
In the dog days of summer, step into the shade and lend you ear to the folks with the gift of gab.
Let the talented narrators at the
Illinois Storytelling Festival regale you with their tales of magical fantasylands, folksy wiseacres and the wonders of everyday life.
Taking place in Spring Grove for more than 20 years, the festival brings together dozens of storytellers from around the country.
In 2005 the festival was scaled back to a one-day event after years as a three-day, multi-venue extravaganza. But even under
the single big-top tent, the festival offers a little bit of something for everyone.
