Window To The World Communications, Inc. (WWCI), parent of WTTW and WFMT, announced today that current trustee and Executive Vice Chair Cary D. McMillan has been selected to serve as Chair of the WTTW | WFMT Board of Trustees for a two-year renewable term effective July 1, 2026. He succeeds Chair David C. Blowers.
McMillan has been an active member of the WTTW | WFMT Board of Trustees since June 1999. He served as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair for more than a decade, and is currently Co-Chair, alongside David Blowers, of the Development & Campaign Committee.

From 2005 to 2020 Cary McMillan served as Chief Executive Officer of True Partners Consulting LLC, a nationwide provider of tax and financial consulting services that he co-founded in 2005. Prior to founding True Partners, he held various executive roles at Sara Lee Corporation and Arthur Andersen. McMillan has served on the corporate boards of Hyatt Hotels, American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) Inc., Hewitt Associates, Sara Lee Corporation, and McDonald’s Corporation. In 2023, he was named to the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship 100, which recognizes the most influential directors in corporate governance. McMillan has also held leadership roles on the boards of the Millennium Park Foundation, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Art Institute of Chicago. McMillan graduated from the University of Illinois, Gies College of Business in 1980. He is an active alumnus, has participated as a guest lecturer in the classroom, and is a past member of the Dean’s Business Council. In 2004, McMillan was named Chicago Illini of the Year by the University of Illinois Alumni Association and, in 2021, he received the Alumni Appreciation Award from Gies College at the University of Illinois. McMillan and his wife, Rande, live in Lincolnshire, and have three grown children.
