Submit Your Program to WTTW for Distribution Consideration
Thank you for your interest in submitting your program to WTTW for broadcast and streaming consideration.
WTTW welcomes submissions from independent producers, filmmakers, production companies, and content creators. We will consider finished programs that explore topics of local interest and reflect the history, culture, places, communities, and people connected to Chicago and the surrounding region.
Submitting a program does not guarantee broadcast, streaming, distribution, or acquisition by WTTW.
Submission Requirements
Creators submitting content must own or control the copyright to the program and maintain artistic, editorial, and financial control of the project.
Producers are responsible for securing all necessary:
- Copyright permissions
- Music licenses
- Archival material licenses
- Appearance releases
- Location releases
- Talent agreements
- Rights, clearances, and other required permissions
Programs submitted for consideration should be produced in 1920 × 1080 HD, 1080i.
If a program is accepted, the producer will be required to:
- Obtain Errors and Omissions insurance
- Provide closed captions
- Meet WTTW’s technical delivery requirements
- Obtain WTTW approval for content underwriting
- Obtain WTTW approval for program structure and format
- Obtain WTTW approval for production credits
- Obtain WTTW approval for any on-air offers, promotions, or related elements
Please submit the form below for consideration. WTTW receives a high volume of program submissions. Please allow at least six to eight weeks for review.
