In February 2025, WTTW will launch FIRSTHAND: PEACEKEEPERS, a year-long initiative exploring violence prevention and interruption in Chicago through a documentary series, expert talks, text/visual journalism, community engagement, and conversations.

In addition to a documentary series, community conversations, and news coverage, WTTW will produce five expert talks about the topic of peacekeeping in Chicago, and you’re invited to be a part of the studio audience as these talks are filmed.

On January 25, please join us for WTTW’s FIRSTHAND TALKS – a day of reflections, personal stories, new ideas, and solutions related to violence interruption and prevention in Chicago.

Lead support for FIRSTHAND: PEACEKEEPERS is provided by Ann and Rich Carr. Major support is provided by Knight Impact Partners. Additional support is provided by the Lohengrin Foundation, the Edwardson Family Foundation, and the Marc and Jeanne Malnati Family Foundation (as of January 17, 2025).
