Youth Summit on Violence Prevention
Join us for a powerful, youth-led summit designed to amplify the voices of young people and spark real conversations around gun violence prevention. This interactive event is part of the WTTW Firsthand: Peacekeepers impact campaign and brings together youth from across Chicago to lead the way in shaping solutions for safer communities.
This interactive event is sponsored by Breakthrough Urban Ministries and Youth Guidance in partnership with, Project Unloaded, and North Lawndale College Prep Peace Warriors, and will feature:
- A screening from the Firsthand: Peacekeepers documentary series
- A live, youth-led discussion on the power of social media in shaping narratives
- An engaging, small-group workshop where participants will create their own digital campaigns
- A free community meal sponsored by Youth Guidance and Breakthrough Urban Ministries.
This is a hands-on experience where youth lead, learn, and launch ideas for change. Be part of the conversation. Be part of the movement.
Lead support for FIRSTHAND: PEACEKEEPERS is provided by Ann and Rich Carr. Major support is provided by Knight Impact Partners. Additional support is provided by the Edwardson Family Foundation, the Lohengrin Foundation, Denny and Sandy Cummings, and the Marc and Jeanne Malnati Family Foundation.
