WTTW presents a variety of content created by and about the Hispanic community year-round. In addition to WTTW’s Spanish-language channel V-me, on WTTW11 and WTTW Prime, Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually with an expansive lineup of programs profiling the rich history and unique contributions of Hispanics to our culture. From documentaries to music specials to travelogues to how-to series to kids programming, we cover a wide spectrum of subjects, genres, and issues of special interest to our Latino audience, and others.

MEXICO – One Plate at a Time with Rick Bayless (New Season)
Fridays beginning September 16, 8:30 pm
In Season 11 of this weekly series, Chicago chef Rick Bayless explores the vibrant food scene and burgeoning chef movement in the Yucatán peninsula, home to the Mayans, North America’s largest indigenous population. The Yucatán’s unique location positions the peninsula to welcome the cultural influences, ingredients, and flavors of Spain, Portugal, France, Lebanon, Cuba, Africa, and the Caribbean.
