Filming on season 7 of the cold-case mystery series Unforgotten has begun, with Sanjeev Bhaskar and Sinéad Keenan returning as the detective duo of Sunny Khan and Jess James. As always, the Masterpiece series begins with the discovery of human remains and follows four people somehow related to those remains over the course of figuring out who has died and how it happened.

In season 7, those four characters are a social worker played by Sophie Rundle, whom you might recognize from Elizabeth is Missing; Kirsty J. Curtis as an inmate; an addict played by Julian Rhind-Tutt, who appeared in Tom Jones; and Natalie Simpson (Les Misérables) as a journalist. The case ends up being linked to a previous case, linking us back to a previous season of Unforgotten.

Previous seasons of Unforgotten are available to stream by WTTW Passport members via the PBS app. We also have recaps for you to catch up.
