We've known for a while that a second season of World on Fire was coming; now we finally have an airdate, as well as some first looks at new and returning cast members.
The series follows the lives of ordinary people across Europe during World War II. Where the first season (which is available to stream by WTTW Passport members and can also be recapped) covered the beginning of the war, the second season takes us further into its chaos. Albert and Henriette are in Nazi-occupied France, while Lois and Robina face German bombing in England. There are also storylines in Nazi Germany and in the theater of war in North Africa.
Season 2 will premiere on WTTW and PBS on October 15. Catch a glimpse of some of the characters below.
