Two new seasons of The Marlow Murder Club, which premiered on WTTW and PBS last fall, are on the way. The quaint mystery series (based on novels by Robert Thorogood, the creator of Death in Paradise) follows retired archaeologist Judith Potts, dog walker Suzie Harris, and vicar's wife Becks Starling as they assist detective Tanika Malik in solving crimes in the British town of Marlow. The second season will premiere on WTTW and PBS on August 24, while the third season has just been announced.

Whereas the first season focused on an interconnected series of murders over its four episodes, the upcoming seasons will each contain separate mysteries spread across two episodes, for a total of three mysteries in six episodes. The second season has confounding deaths in a mansion's locked study, a cul-de-sac, and at the sailing club. A number of recognizable guest stars appear, including James Wilby (Lord Falmouth in Poldark), Nina Sosanya (Kate in Last Tango in Halifax), and Hugh Quarshie (Pete in MaryLand).

The third season, which doesn't yet have an airdate, investigates the death of Marlow's popular mayor, a celebrity chef, and someone at a university reunion.

WTTW Passport members can stream via the PBS app the first season of The Marlow Murder Club, for which we also have recaps to help you catch up.
