The Performers of 'A Capitol Fourth 2025'

A Capitol Fourth 2025 airs on WTTW Friday, July 4 at 7:00 and 8:30 pm and will be available to stream live via the PBS app.
Now in its 45th year, A Capitol Fourth is back with a concert and fireworks display that WTTW and PBS are broadcasting live from Washington, D.C. Here are the performers taking part.
Alfonso Ribeiro
Ribeiro is best-known as Will Smith's cousin Carlton Banks on the classic 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but he has also done his share of hosting TV shows like America's Funniest Home Videos and Dancing with the Stars (which he also won).
The Beach Boys
"Surfin' U.S.A.," "Good Vibrations," "Help Me, Rhonda": you know hits by The Beach Boys, who are still together under the leadership of original member Mike Love. Original songwriter and member Brian Wilson died last month.
Yolanda Adams
Yolanda Adams is a Grammy Award-winning gospel singer, actress, and author and has been called the “Queen of Contemporary Gospel Music.” She also hosts a radio show called The Yolanda Adams Morning Show.
Josh Turner
Deep-voiced country star Josh Turner has had numerous hits such as "Long Black Train" and "Your Man" since his debut album in 2003.
Trombone Shorty
Troy Andrews imbibed the jazz and other musical traditions of his native New Orleans and now brings them in a fusion to wide audiences, including in work with a wide variety of collaborators.
The Temptations
Seven decades into their career, The Temptations continue to bring that Motown sound under the leadership of original member Otis Williams, now in his 80s.
Lauren Daigle
Daigle is a Christian music performer and songwriter who debuted in 2015 and has managed to find mainstream crossover success with songs like "You Say." She performed "America the Beautiful" with fellow Capitol Fourth performer and Louisiana native Trombone Shorty at the Super Bowl in New Orleans this year.
LOCASH
The country duo LOCASH not only release their own music but also write songs for other country stars and have their own record label as well.
Abi Carter
Carter won season 22 of American Idol in 2024 and followed it up with an album.
