A new two-part series about an infamous political interview is coming to WTTW and PBS. Brian and Maggie traces the relationship between the United Kingdom's Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and the politician-turned-journalist Brian Walden, which culminated in a 1989 television interview that proved devastating to Thatcher soon before her downfall as prime minister.

In the show, which premieres on WTTW and via the PBS app on October 5 and 12 at 7:00 pm, Harriet Walter plays Thatcher and Steve Coogan takes on Walden. The two historical figures were friends from opposite sides of the political spectrum, but supposedly never spoke again after the interview.
