The latest lavish historical drama from Masterpiece is here. The Forsytes, a prequel to The Forsyte Saga novels by the Nobel Prize-winning John Galsworthy, chronicles the intrigue within a banking family in London near the end of the nineteenth century. Two brothers and their sons, one sentimentally artistic and one ruthlessly business-minded, fight for supremacy in work, romance, and fashion, while their wives, step-child, and paramours try to survive and benefit the family – or escape its confines.

The Forsytes premieres Sunday, March 22 at 8:00 pm on WTTW and airs every following Sunday at 8:00 pm. All six episodes will be available to stream via the PBS app by WTTW Passport members beginning March 22. Episodes will be available to stream for free for two weeks following their broadcast premiere.

Passport members can also go behind the scenes of the costume drama with The Forsytes: An Inside Look, available to stream now.
