Filling

• 1 cup fresh ricotta cheese
• 1/8 cup freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano
• 1/8 cup goat cheese
• 1/8 cup chopped gorgonzola dolcelatte cheese
• 1 teaspoon chopped Italian parsley
• Sicilian sea salt to taste
• Fresh ground black pepper to taste
• Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and adjust the seasoning.

Pasta Dough

• 4 whole eggs
• 4 egg yolks
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp Sicilian sea salt
• 2 3/4 cups semolina

This is a simple recipe for your basic kimchi-ing needs. It is basically the fermenting mixture used to make traditional Napa cabbage kimchi or to make any root vegetable or leafy green into a tasty spicy kimchi side!

Makes 1 quart of sludge

A Driehaus Prize winner is a designer whose versatility and critical spirit helped reshape classical and vernacular architecture. This year's recipient is Marc and Nada Breitman “for their outstanding achievements in introducing human scale and proportion and the grace of classical architecture to large public housing developments in France and Holland, creating a sense of place as well as enhancing urban security and civic welfare."

"Marc & Nada Breitman: Talk of the Town" writer/host Geoffrey Baer and the show’s production crew spent ten days filming in Paris, Northern France, and Amsterdam.

The Breitmans were awarded the Richard H. Driehaus Prize at the University of Notre Dame in 2018 “for their outstanding achievements in introducing human scale and proportion and the grace of classical architecture to large public housing developments in France and Holland, creating a sense of place as well as enhancing urban security and civic welfare.

Subsidized housing. The term calls to mind shabby concrete towers, filled with anonymous box-like rooms and covered in a drab face. Think Cabrini Green, Soviet-era apartment blocks, and St. Louis’s infamous Pruitt-Igoe towers, which were demolished within eighteen years of opening. But the social housing built by Paris-based architects Nada and Marc Breitman is entirely different adorned with stately facades, column-flanked balconies, and simple but elegant architectural details. Instead of imposing and brutalist, it is cozy and classical. Most surprising of all, it is indistinguishable from the private housing mixed in around it.

In Architects Marc & Nada Breitman: Talk of the Town, host Geoffrey Baer introduces us to the Paris-based husband-and-wife architects. Together, they lead Geoffrey through the streets of their beloved Paris, northern France, and Amsterdam, explaining how they use their art to celebrate diversity and bring communities together – creating social housing that transforms bland suburbs and forgotten areas into livable, walkable neighborhoods that are as charming as they are functional.
