Downton Abbey

Tom meets a new woman, both an old foe and old friend return to Downton, Rose and Edith visit London, and Robert is called to America on an emergency.

Rose plans a selfish surprise for Robert's birthday while some staff shake-ups occur and a friend arrives at Downton with an unwelcome companion.

Alfred wants to train as a chef at the Ritz in London, leading Carson to look for a replacement, while Bates finally learns the truth about Anna and other staff changes take place.

Anna's trauma affects her relationship with Bates, while a new suitor emerges for Mary and Edith gets in deep.

A legendary performer comes to Downton, along with a trio of possible suitors and one definite one. A horrible crime occurs in the servants hall.

Mary mourns in the wake of tragedy while Gregson has a proposal for Edith, a new maid is hired, and Valentine's Day causes some trouble.

With Matthew and Mary finally expecting a child, the family heads up to Scotland. Back at Downton, the servants enjoy a day at a fair.

Thomas makes a move that could lead to his downfall while Matthew argues with Robert, Edith takes a new job, and the annual cricket match approaches.

In the wake of tragedy, Robert and Carson both find themselves on the wrong side of the women of Downton Abbey, while Tom tries to plot a future.

Sibyl's pregnancy is not without difficulties, and Clarkson and another doctor argue over her treatment while Daisy continues to struggle in her relationships with Ivy and Alfred downstairs.

Isobel and Mrs. Hughes try to help Ethel and her son while Bates deals with an enemy in prison and Tom gets into deep trouble back in Ireland.

As Edith prepares to wed, Downton Abbey is in danger of being sold. Bates is in danger in prison while Anna tries to clear his name. And Daisy finds a new romantic interest.

Matthew and Mary are finally getting married, even as Downton Abbey is in danger of being sold and Sybil's own husband tries to integrate (or not) into the family.

It's the holidays, which means a shooting party and a servants' ball – and, of course, plenty of drama, intrigue, and some comedy.

Cora and others suffer a dire illness even as her marriage teeters, while other marriages and engagements are considered and reconsidered.
