Daniel HautzingerAfter a difficult last year, audiences will be receiving a welcome Christmas gift this year: another Downton Abbey movie. The sequel to the show's 2019 big-screen debut is due to be released December 22.
The beloved characters will all be there, with the original cast slated to appear, as well as some new personages played by Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Dominic West, and Nathalie Baye. The show's creator and writer Julian Fellowes will write the screenplay.
