Chicago summer –  and all the food festivals that come with it – is finally in full swing. 

A few Chicago establishments make full use of their patios by inviting other restaurants to serve meals at a deal weekly – including a competition for the best hot dog. 

Summer is almost here, Chicago. That means food festivals have returned. 

While summer festival season winds down, there are still a handful of fall food festivities to savor this October before winter sets in, with wine and beer taking center stage. 

As summer transitions to fall, there are still plenty of opportunities to get outside for food festivals in Chicago and the suburbs. Taste of Chicago returns in September. Plus, there are several Oktoberfest celebrations across the area this month. 

Food events in and around Chicago this August offer a diverse array of food and beverages, with events centered around garlic, sangria, Bloody Marys, and corn.

July is one of the busiest months for street festivals in Chicago, so we’ve rounded up a list of all the food-centric festivals happening in the city and suburbs.

The sun is shining in Chicago again, and another bustling summer full of food festivals has arrived.
