Less than two months before it premieres on WTTW and PBS, we have a trailer for season 2 of World on Fire that gives hints as to what action awaits our characters, old and new.

As Elliot continues to make Geordie's life miserable in order to force him into retirement, Geordie begins thinking he might accept it, since Cathy has been promoted. Meanwhile, Larry investigates a poisoning. 

A death at Leonard's halfway house looks like a suicide but could be a murder. It casts suspicion on all of the residents, and threatens to shut down the house while causing a rift between Leonard and his friends.

Cathy and Geordie take Will to see a painting at a local college as a way to distract him from his recent accident, but while they are there a protest, theft, and murder all occur. 

Will is in danger of going to jail, but Geordie is determined to exonerate him—even if that means ignoring the facts. But perhaps the accident that led to all of this is more complicated than it seems. 

Tom Brittney will be leaving his role as Will Davenport in season 9 of Grantchester, but his replacement has already been announced: Rishi Nair as Alphy Kotteram.

Will takes part in a charity motorcycle race but soon finds himself investigating the death of one of its participants with Geordie. Will also tries to learn to be a father now that he is married and has a stepson.

The series finale of Endeavour brings Joan's wedding as well as the wrapping up of numerous cases and strands from previous seasons, as Morse and Thursday finally dig into Blenheim Vale and the trauma it hides.

One major character won't be returning to season four of All Creatures Great and Small, but new ensemble members will step in to help out at Skeldale House. 

A random death has Morse continuing to dig further into the past, bringing danger upon himself. He urges Thursday to keep Strange away, for Joan's sake. Meanwhile, a case involving a TV detective show unfolds. 

A second season of Annika will premiere alongside a second season of World on Fire, ensuring that Nicola Walker's absence from a fifth season of Unforgotten won't be felt. Plus, Van der Valk is back with a third season. 

Morse is back on the job for a final season after spending time away dealing with his drinking problem. He returns to big changes in the lives of all of his closest colleagues, setting him up to be left behind and alone. 

The Marlow Murder Club by Robert Thorogood, the creator of Death in Paradise, is being adapted into a mystery for PBS with some actresses you might recognize.
