FDR's health rapidly declines as victory approaches in Europe. Olav begins to reassess Märtha and attempt to resolve his differences with her, while she worries for the children after years living abroad, in the finale of Atlantic Crossing.

Olav struggles with his marriage while being stuck away from his family alone in London, and begins lashing out at Märtha. A plot against their family is barely foiled, while good news finally comes in the war. 

Märtha's relationship with FDR comes under increasing suspicion both in the public and amongst their families, while a possible conspiracy threatens the safety of her and her children. 

Märtha raises her public profile and begins doing more to help Norway's cause in America, going to Eleanor for public speaking advice. Meanwhile, FDR becomes more infatuated with Märtha.

Märtha is drawn into politics as she is pressured to use her influence with FDR to aid Norway in the war, while he runs for reelection and tries to follow the public's position on non-intervention despite his own convictions. 

After a difficult last year, audiences will be receiving a welcome Christmas gift this year: another Downton Abbey movie. The sequel to the show's 2019 big-screen debut is due to be released December 22.

The beloved characters will all be there, with the original cast slated to appear, as well as some new personages played by Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Dominic West, and Nathalie Baye. The show's creator and writer Julian Fellowes will write the screenplay.

As Märtha and her children reach safety in America, they grow closer to President FDR. Back in London, Olav and Haakon debate the path forward for the Norwegian government-in-exile while Germany turns its sights on Britain. 

As Norway struggles to repel the German invasion, Olav and Haakon debate the best course of action for the country while Märtha seeks a reunion with Olav and safety for her children.

Less than a year after Norway's Crown Prince and Princess visit the United States and meet President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, they prepare for a possible German invasion of the neutral Norway.
