Holly begins losing faith in Amina and her whole profession as she continues to dig into allegations against a wealthy philanthropist of sexual improprieties. Duncan basks in the power of the Post before being taken down a notch. 

While Demelza deals with a counterfeit money racket, Ross is drawn into trouble by his loyalty to Ned. George seems to have recovered and is back on his nefarious and wrong-headed ideas, spurred on by his shady business partner Hanson. 

The king of Greece is coming to Corfu, and the Durrells have reluctantly agreed to help. Margo meets an intriguing boy on her way back to Greece, while the whole Basil-Spyros-Louisa affair comes to a head.

Leona and Ed fight over a story for their papers, while the Herald loses one of its star reporters in an ethical dilemma, then has another complicated and dangerous decision to make regarding a story about a wealthy philanthropist.

George is still not recovering, so Cary turns to Dwight for help, which in turn makes Caroline suspicious. Greater problems await George as Ned, Tess, and Hanson stir up revolt among his workers, and Ross and Demelza must step in once again to help him. 

The locals begin to decry the "decadence" of the Durrells and their guests, while Spyros begins spending more and more time at the guesthouse and Gerry becomes jealous when he begins falling for Galini. In England, Margo struggles with her new job.

Demelza believes she, Ross, and their friends are being followed while Ross tries to help clear Ned's name and Dwight testifies on behalf of an assassin. George and Cary move towards a business deal with Hanson, but Elizabeth continues to haunt George. 

Margo decides to assert her independence by disappearing from the house, leaving Louisa stuck with a bunch of men, including an over-the-top army colonel who enlists Leslie to go hunting, much to Gerry's chagrin.

Poldark is back for its final season! New characters are introduced as old stalwarts forge on, with Ross again becoming embroiled in intrigue, this time relating to West Indian rivalries. George is seeing ghosts, Demelza makes an enemy, and Geoffrey Charles looks to the future.

When Louisa tries to make some money by transforming her home into a guesthouse, she takes in a mysterious visitor who brings some unwanted attention to the Durrells, in the premiere of the final season of the series.
