As Grantchester returns, Geordie's family and everyone from the vicarage seeks a break at a holiday resort, but an unexpected death draws Will and Geordie into an investigation, while Leonard stumbles into trouble via his kindness.

Masterpiece has revealed photos from Magpie Murders, an adaptation of the popular Anthony Horowitz mystery novel of the same name coming to PBS next year and starring Lesley Manville, among others.

Lisa leads an investigation into threats on a wealthy but controversial businessman with an unusual family, while Professor T tries to avoid celebrating his birthday and the bad memories that come with it. 

The team continues investigating the death of Matthew Walsh in the wake of tragedy, narrowing in on their suspect as everyone's life is thrown into crisis.

A suspect has been apprehended in what appears to be a cut-and-dried murder case, but the daughter of the victim seems to know something more. Professor T tries to gain her confidence and learn the truth.

Cassie finally begins to heed the warning and advice of her loved ones as increasing evidence allows her and Sunny to pressure some of their suspects into revealing the truth about the night Matthew Walsh disappeared.

Season six of Grantchester hasn't even aired on WTTW and PBS yet (it's coming in early October), but we already have news of another season, which has just started filming.

Professor T is characteristically blunt with the parents of a child who has been kidnapped, but quickly understands the complexity of the situation. 

As Cassie and Sunny's team begins to look into their suspects, difficult pasts begin to emerge, while a prime witness from the night of Walsh's disappearance is located. 

While Professor T tries to avoid his mother, he ends up in the hospital as well as in the middle of a hostage situation, where he brings to bear some surprising rules that frustrate police officers as they attempt to save hostages. 

Cassie and Sunny begin interviewing four possible subjects in a decades-old case while also trying to confirm that it was in fact a murder, via witnesses and tracking down the rest of the victim. 

When someone is poisoned at a museum reception, the detectives again turn to Professor T for help in winnowing down the suspects, who include a woman who works at the university and has gossip swirling around her. 

Ram faces a serious complaint at work and a possible medical crisis at home, but he will soon have even more to worry about, as Cassie and Sunny begin to identify the four new police officers who may have been witnesses to a murder decades ago.
