Susan Ryeland and Atticus Pünd are returning for one last mystery in Marble Hall Murders. The third and final novel in a trilogy by Anthony Horowitz that began with Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders is being adapted for Masterpiece and will once again star Lesley Manville as book editor Ryeland and Tim McMullan as the fictional detective Pünd, and Horowitz is again adapting his book for the screen.
For this third case, Ryeland is back in England from Crete and once again looking for a real killer in a work of fiction, Pünd's Last Case, written by a young writer after the death of Alan Conway. The new mystery is set in 1955 in Corfu.
We don't yet have an airdate or additional casting, but the series will begin filming in March.
