Marble Hall Murders

Pünd solves his last case after all, thanks to another detective, while Susan survives an attempt on her life to figure out who killed both Eliot and Miriam Crace. 

Susan visits prison to see Charles Clover, the man who tried to kill her, in the hope that he can shed some light on Miriam Crace's death, even as Susan herself is a suspect in another death. 

The plot around Lady Chalfont widens as Pünd investigates, while Susan becomes an object of suspicion in the real world. 

Susan meets more of the Crace family and quickly finds herself on their bad side, while Pünd narrows in on a suspect in the novel. 

As Susan reads Eliot's novel, she wonders if he drew on real-life characters and experiences, particularly around his grandmother, who has similarities to the victim in his novel.
