The third Downton Abbey film, which is purported to be the last – it's called Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, and a new trailer announces that "everything has led to this" and "it's time to say goodbye" – will premiere in theaters on September 12. We also have the aforementioned trailer for it, below.

It will be the first Downton Abbey property without the late Dame Maggie Smith as the late Dowager Countess Violet Crawley, although many familiar characters will return, including less familiar ones such as Cora Crawley's brother Harold Levinson (Paul Giamatti) and Guy Dexter (Dominic West). New characters will be played by Joely Richardson, Alessandro Nivola, Simon Russell Beale, and Arty Froushan as the series moves into the 1930s. Series creator Julian Fellowes again penned the script.
