Chicago Food Festivals to Savor This June

As the weather warms up, Chicago festival season is also heating up. June brings a packed calendar of food-centric events across the city and suburbs, bringing back favorites like Greek eats, BBQ, and a slew of “taste of” festivals. As always, be sure to check ticket information before you head out the door.

Lincoln Park Greek Fest

Friday June 5 through Sunday, June 7 | St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 2701 N. Sheffield Ave.
This annual Greek Festival, put on by St. George Greek Orthodox Church and the Lincoln Park Greek Community, invites everyone to “be Greek for a day” with Greek food, music, and more. 

Ribfest Chicago

Friday June 5 through Sunday, June 7 | 4000 N. Lincoln Ave.
Ribfest returns for its 26th year in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood, boasting “ribs, ribs, and more ribs.” An award will be given to the crowd favorite BBQ.

Food Truck Festival

June 5, 12, 17, 26 | Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington St.
Looking for a bite to eat on your lunch break downtown? This recurring food truck festival happens every Friday in Daley Plaza from May through October. (Note: June 17 is a Wednesday due to the Juneteenth holiday).

Lincoln Square Greek Fest

Friday June 12 through Sunday, June 14 | St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 W. Winona St.
St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church also hosts a Greek festival each year, with authentic Greek food and pastries, and live music and dancing. 

Chicago Cocktail Classic

Sunday, June 14 | 167 Green St.
More than 30 bars from around the world come together at this tasting event in Fulton Market.

Taste of Des Plaines

Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20 | Library Plaza, Downtown Des Plaines
The street festival showcases the local restaurants in Des Plaines, plus beer tents and family-friendly activities.

Taste of Highland Park

Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 | Port Clinton Square, 600 Central Ave., Highland Park
This dining and music festival in downtown Highland Park will feature the area’s restaurants plus family-friendly entertainment. 

Taste of Randolph

Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 21 | Randolph St. between Peoria St. and Racine Ave.  
The always-bustling Taste of Randolph returns again this year, highlighting the food of Randolph Street in the West Loop. 

Blues, Brews, and BBQ

Saturday, June 20 | The Morton Arboretum, Lisle
Enjoy an afternoon at the Morton Arboretum with the perfect pairing of Chicago-area blues bands, BBQ, and beers from local craft breweries. 

Inferno Fest

Wednesday, June 24 | Everts Park, 111 North Ave., Highwood
As part of Highwood's weekly Evening Gourmet Market, vendors will showcase spicy foods and drinks for brave foodies.

Malt Row on Damen Beer Stroll

Wednesday, June 24 | Damen Avenue, between Wilson and Argyle avenues
Meet the craft beverage community and try out their beer, wine, and spirits at this stroll in the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor.

Chicago’s Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry

Friday, June 26 | Rockwell on the River, 3057 N. Rockwell St.
This event features bite-sized fare, desserts, and craft cocktails from a variety of culinary experts, including Top Chef winners and Michelin-star talent. The event supports No Kid Hungry.

Chicago Taco & Tequila Fest

Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27 | 2534 N. Greenview Ave., Wrightwood Park
Turn up the heat this summer with a variety of tacos and tequila tastings at this annual festival in Wrightwood Park. 

Strawberry Fest

Friday, June 26 through Sunday, June 28 | 145 Old McHenry Rd., Long Grove 
This annual, strawberry-centric tradition returns to historic downtown Long Grove and offers family activities, music, and strawberry-infused food and beverages.
