The investigation turns up a connection between Marty and Gerard, while more and more of Gerard's past and politics are revealed.

Judith and her friends investigate a murder that might be linked to a stalled housing development that is being prevented by two households' refusals to sell. 

Miss Snares investigates the dean's past while he relives some of it, thanks to the appearance of Zelda. And the professor and detectives examine a violent burglary.

The detectives learn more about Gerard Cooper and his life after telling his wife Juliet that his remains have been found.

As Zeta heads off to college, Suzie helps Judith, Becks, and Tanika figure out who killed Sir Peter Bailey, how they did it, and why. 

Dan finds himself frustrated as the professor meddles in another case when he's at a retirement community when a woman is violently killed.
