We're two months out from the premiere of Miss Austen on WTTW and via the PBS app, and we have an extended trailer to give a preview of the series about Jane Austen and her sister Cassandra. Premiering May 4, during the 250th anniversary year of Jane Austen's birth, Miss Austen is an adaptation of a Gill Hornby novel of the same name and stars Masterpiece mainstay Keeley Hawes. It follows parallel stories of Cassandra and Jane as young women and Cassandra after Jane's death revisiting their youth via letters between them that she is not sure she wants the world to see.
