The World War II drama has begun filming a second season, following up after a long hiatus. The second season will continue to follow the lives of ordinary people under the extraordinary circumstances of war, with some new and old characters.

A potentially explosive situation off the coast of Kent leads to a mandatory evacuation, but efforts to coordinate a response are complicated by a smaller-scale incident that might have geopolitical ramifications. 

The death of the scion of a formerly wealthy estate seems to be natural, but Geordie is suspicious. Unfortunately, his new boss assigns Larry to the case and is a stickler for rules, so Geordie, Will, and Miss Scott must surreptitiously investigate.

Claudine continues to help other women attract attention, including Constance, who begins to grow close to Lucian. Anish begins his own affair and considers his politics, while Cecil closes a deal to make a fortune and Danioni continues to meddle.

In the season finale of Endeavour, Morse becomes wrapped up in a murderous situation in a spooky old hotel when his bus breaks down and the passengers all take shelter from a winter storm there. 

Anish is targeted by local fascists and becomes interested in the resistance against them. Claudine finds ways to occupy herself while Jack does business with Cecil, and Wingfield takes an interest in their deal.

The murder of a cab driver on the outskirts of town near a nudist retreat seems to be a robbery, but other deaths with odd similarities soon set the detectives searching for connections between them. 

Lucian continues to try to connect with Rose, per his father's wishes, but enjoys the company of the hotel's staff more than the Drummond-Wards. Cecil gets involved with Danioni, to Bella's surprise, and the Italian begins to cause problems for the hotel.

Morse is assigned to guard a star soccer player who receives a death threat, while Thursday investigates a seemingly targeted bombing at Oxford. The Troubles of Northern Ireland might be involved in both cases.

English and English-speaking guests gather at Hotel Portofino on the Italian Riviera with different aims, although many of their goals revolve around money and gaining it: through marriage, work, fraud, blackmail.

We finally have a date for the coming premiere of the second season of Miss Scarlet and the Duke on PBS and WTTW as well as teaser looking ahead at the mystery, romance, and action. 

After two more seasons of Endeavour, one premiering on PBS and WTTW in June and another currently in production, the series will end.

Suspicions against Jack and Vivien are piling up in the NSM, putting them both in danger, but Vivien is determined to acquire evidence to take down Colin Jordan, no matter the risk to her life.
